Highly absorbent

Cytotoxic drugs are unpleasant and measures should be taken to prevent them coming into contact with staff. These mats quickly absorb any spills to reduce any risk of contamination and spread of the liquid. They can absorb up to 100ml of liquid.

Immediately shows spills

The blue colour shows the spill more readily than a white mat, indicating that the mat needs to be replaced.

Creates a sterile field

All critical items can be placed on the mat, creating a defined sterile field within the cleanroom environment, that can be renewed regularly during a single session without the need for cleaning.

Suitable for Grade A or B areas

The mats are cleanroom processed. The upper permeable polyethylene film and bottom impermeable polyethylene layer do not generate particulates or chemicals and effectively seal in any particles from the middle non-woven absorbent layer.

Non shedding packaging

The easy-tear polythene packaging significantly reduces the generation of particles compared with paper backed individual packs. Each mat is individually double bagged in polythene making it particularly suitable for use in Grade A and B areas. The single bag is easy to wipe, enabling more effective spray and wipe protocols to be used.

Easy to open

Each mat is flow-wrapped with the Klertear feature, making it easy to open even with gloved hands.

Klerpack Sterile Chemo Spill Mats are individually double bagged with 10 mats per pack. Each mat is either 410mm x 540mm or 270mm x 410mm, creating a convenient sized work station.

Each mat can absorb up to 100ml of liquid and its absorbency rate is better than a low particulate cleanroom wipe.

The blue mats are composed of three layers:

Upper layer permeable to liquids (Polyethylene net)

80gsm inner core layer of non-woven highly absorbent material

Lower layer of non-slip design, impermeable to liquids (Polyethylene film)

The mats are individually double bagged in a cleanroom environment, packed in 10's and gamma irradiated at not less than 25kGy. They are flow-wrapped in polythene with the Klertear feature that makes them easy to open and does not shed particulates.
