Next generation of protected trigger spray system has arrived!

The next generation of the award winning SteriShield Delivery System has arrived - providing all the benefits of a trigger spray and guaranteeing the integrity of the contents for three months.

The closed system ensures the possibility of "suck back" associated with standard trigger sprays, where contaminated air can enter the liquid, is removed. Validation work in the licensed pharmacy unit of a major UK hospital identified that a standard trigger spray alcohol had been contaminated with fungal spores only eight hours after opening, so it is essential that this risk is eliminated.

The patented SteriShield Delivery System was the first closed trigger spray system, introduced in 1999. The new version of the system, currently available on all 500 ml and 1.0 L Klercide trigger sprays, incorporates an innovative one-piece design that improves the security of the system as well as reducing the variability of the product.

The new system has been fully validated under rigorous test conditions and this data is available in a Technical Report. Note that the validation data for this and the original SteriShield Delivery System cannot be applied to other systems that claim to be identical.
