Cleanroom contamination control is of paramount importance to ensure the production of safe and effective products within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical device industries. International Standards closely regulate the quality of the manufacturing environment. To meet these requirements the cleanroom must be maintained to a high standard of cleanliness, using products that will not contribute any contamination.

One thing stated very clearly by GMP is that:

"Disinfectants used in Grade A and B areas should be sterile prior to use"

In response to this need, Shield Medicare - a division of Ecolab - has developed an award winning range of contamination control products to meet the requirements of different cleanroom operations. Our trigger sprays incorporate the patented SteriShield Delivery System (link from name to press release), which provides the ultimate protection to the disinfectant during use.

The range includes:

KLERCIDE 70/30 High Quality Alcohols

70% IPA or Denatured Ethanol (IMS) blended with either EP Water for Injection or Deionised Water. Available sterile and non-sterile for different grades of cleanroom in a wide range of formats, including trigger sprays, aerosols and impregnated wipes.

KLERCIDE-CR Safe, Effective Biocides

Rotational sterile and non-sterile disinfectants designed for cleanrooms, including unique chemical formulations and sporicides. We are committed to taking our disinfectant range through the Biocidal Products Directive and we provide comprehensive technical information.

KLERCIDE Cleaning Systems

A range of autoclavable mopping systems and tools for the efficient application of disinfectants. Includes double and triple bucket systems, mop wipe frames for use with impregnated mop wipes and the original Klercide Isolator and LAF Cleaning Tool.

KLERWIPE Impregnated or dry wipes

A unique range of sterile wipes in different formats, with a choice of low particulate wipe material. It includes tub, pouch and mop wipes impregnated with alcohols or our unique biocides. Also sterile pouch wipes impregnated with silicone, ideal for isolator seal maintenance.

KLERPACK Sterile Multi-Packs

These innovative multi-packs were the first of their kind, offering a high quality and efficient method of passing large quantities of sterile components into a controlled workspace. The extensive range includes tipped syringes, needles, pens, chemotherapy spill mats and Sharps bins.
